Ex-Warrant Officer Class One Raphael Yaovi Deku was a distinguished serviceman of the Ghana Armed Forces, whose life embodied the highest ideals of honor, dedication, and service to his nation. Born in 1944, he answered the call to serve his country and rose through the ranks to achieve the prestigious position of Warrant Officer Class 1, the highest non-commissioned rank in the military.

Throughout his illustrious military career, WO1 Deku exemplified the core values of integrity, discipline, and selfless service. He was a mentor to countless young soldiers, a pillar of strength to his unit, and a beacon of professionalism that inspired all who served alongside him. His dedication to the Ghana Armed Forces was unwavering, and his commitment to duty remained steadfast until his retirement.

Beyond his military service, Raphael was a devoted family man and a faithful member of the Catholic Church.
